The Mt Wilson/Mt Irvine Rural Fire Brigade's Mt Irvine Station, located at 227 Mount Irvine Rd, Mount Irvine NSW 2786, serves the communities of Mount Wilson and Mount Irvine in the Blue Mountains. Established in 1958, the brigade comprises approximately 70 active firefighters and 55 support volunteers. The Mt Irvine Station is equipped with a Cat 1 fire truck, a Cat 7 fire truck, a Cat 9 fire truck, and two personnel carrier support vehicles, both equipped with medical equipment. The brigade responds to various incidents, including bushfires, search and rescues, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and storm damage. In 2014, the brigade received a Resilient Australia Award for its exceptional community engagement during the October 2013 bushfires.
