Mt Schank - Lookout Point

Mount Schank, a dormant volcanic cone approximately 100 meters high, offers a unique hiking experience in South Australia's southeast. The trail begins at the base, where steps have been carved into the hillside to facilitate the steep ascent. Along the path, several seats provide rest stops, and the rim walk rewards hikers with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. At the base, a picnic area features accessible flushing toilets, electric coin-operated BBQs, picnic tables, and open fireplaces, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoying nature.
