Mon Repos Turtle Centre, located at 141 Mon Repos Road, Mon Repos QLD 4670, is dedicated to marine turtle research, protection, and education. It supports the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland and the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific region. Visitors can explore the Turtle Tales Immersive Experience, featuring interactive displays and a theatre that tells the story of loggerhead turtles through film, light, and soundscapes. The Junior Discovery zone offers children engaging activities to learn about turtle conservation. From November to late March, the centre offers Turtle Encounter tours, providing a unique opportunity to witness nesting and hatching turtles in their natural habitat. The Milbi Café serves bush tucker-inspired cuisine, and the gift shop offers a range of souvenirs. The centre is open daily from 9 am to 2 pm, with additional evening hours for Turtle Encounter tour participants. Entry to the centre is free, with fees applying for the Turtle Tales Immersive Experience and Turtle Encounter tours.
