Maningrida, a remote community in Western Arnhem Land, has implemented a community-wide security program to enhance safety and reduce property crimes. Since December 2022, Visual Security has been contracted to provide nightly patrols, utilizing two guards with dogs and vehicles to monitor the area. This initiative, funded collaboratively by local organizations and the Northern Territory Government, has led to a significant decrease in break-ins and vandalism over the past six months. The program is currently under review by NT Police to assess its effectiveness and potential continuation.
