
Lake Torrens National Park, located approximately 345 km north of Adelaide, is a vast salt lake stretching 250 km in length and 30 km in width. Typically dry, the lake occasionally fills with water after significant rainfall, attracting diverse birdlife. The park offers excellent opportunities for photography and geological studies, with its stark wilderness and unique landscape. Designated as a national park in 1991, it is managed by the Department for Environment and Water.
