
Lake Mackay is a remote locality in the Northern Territory, Australia, situated approximately 1,202 kilometers south of Darwin and 458 kilometers west of Alice Springs. Established on April 4, 2007, it encompasses an area of 77,857 square kilometers and has a population of five residents. The locality includes the Lake Mackay Aboriginal Land Trust, Mount Doreen Station pastoral property, the former Newhaven Station pastoral property, and the western part of the Haasts Bluff Aboriginal Land Trust. The Tanami Road traverses the area from Yuendumu in the south to the northwest, passing through Mount Doreen Station on its way to Halls Creek.
