Originally built for the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games, it underwent a $50 million upgrade completed in 2019, transforming it into a state-of-the-art facility suitable for year-round use. The arena features a unique cable-tension canopy roof, a first for Australian stadia, and a hardwood floor that accommodates both tennis and netball matches. It serves as the official home for the United Cup Sydney, NSW Swifts, and Giants Netball teams. The venue offers a range of facilities, including 15 outdoor courts, a Pro-Shop, café, and a function centre overlooking Sydney Olympic Park. Named in honour of Australian tennis legend Ken Rosewall, the arena continues to host major sporting events and concerts, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of Sydney Olympic Park.
