Kapooka Training Ground, located at 82 Bass Street in Kapooka, New South Wales, serves as the primary facility for the Australian Army's recruit training. Situated approximately 9.5 kilometers southwest of Wagga Wagga, it is part of the Blamey Barracks, often referred to as the "Home of the Soldier." The base is renowned for its comprehensive training programs, including the Army Initial Foundation Training continuum, which comprises three 21-day modules designed to efficiently prepare recruits for military service. Additionally, the Australian Army Band Kapooka provides musical support to the training center and the Riverina community, enhancing the cultural atmosphere of the base.
