HMAS Cerberus, established in 1920, serves as the Royal Australian Navy's premier training establishment, located approximately 70 km south of Melbourne near Crib Point on Western Port Bay. Spanning over 1,500 hectares, it accommodates around 6,000 personnel annually across various training schools, including the School of Survivability and Ship Safety, Defence Force School of Signals, and the Engineering Faculty. The base features numerous training and recreational facilities, two chapels, a small marina, and attractive grounds, offering a comprehensive environment for naval personnel development.
