Galiwin'ku Women's Space, led by Yolŋu women and supported by the broader community, is the only dedicated support and empowerment space for women on Elcho Island. They offer crisis accommodation, case management, and outreach support, combining Yolŋu and Balanda approaches to address domestic and family violence. Their mission is to stop the cycle of violence and create a stronger, safer community. Operating Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM, they also facilitate community education sessions and events to inspire change and promote healthy relationships.
