Corunna Station is a historic sheep station located approximately 6 km north of Iron Knob and 56 km northwest of Whyalla on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. Established in 1861, it spans 576 km² and is bisected by the Eyre Highway. The station's name derives from Caroona Hill, a significant landmark for early explorers, and is believed to mean "heron" or "crane" in a local Aboriginal language. Over the years, Corunna Station has been owned by various families, including the French family, who successfully contested a compulsory acquisition by the federal government in 2013. The property was gazetted as a locality in April 2013.
