Coast Guard QF17 Tin Can Bay, established in 1976, is a dedicated marine rescue service operating from Norman Point, Tin Can Bay, Queensland. Serving the Cooloola Coast, the flotilla offers 24/7 assistance, ensuring safety for local and visiting boaters. The team is equipped with a fleet of rescue vessels, including the 7.5m hard-collared NAIAD, TC31, commissioned in May 2024. The flotilla's base is located in the boat ramp car park at Norman Point, with operations from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. For emergencies, they monitor VHF channels 16, 67, 80, and 82, as well as 27 MHz channels 88 and 90. The team is committed to ensuring the safety of all mariners in the area.
