Cadell Training Centre, located in the Riverland region of South Australia, is a low-security prison farm dedicated to the rehabilitation of male prisoners. Established in 1960, it spans approximately 1,600 hectares, featuring dairy operations, citrus orchards, and olive groves. The centre offers vocational training in horticulture, dairy production, and commercial cookery, preparing inmates for successful reintegration into society. A recent $12.2 million dairy complex enhances its capacity, housing a herd of 290 cattle and producing 1,800 to 1,900 litres of milk and 900 kilograms of cream weekly. Products supply South Australian prisons and local businesses, while excess milk is donated to community organizations.
