
Brittons Swamp is a rural locality in Tasmania's Circular Head region, approximately 17 kilometers southwest of Smithton. Established in 1973, it was named after an early settler who operated a sawmill in the area. The 2016 census recorded a population of 50 residents. The locality is traversed by Route A2 (Bass Highway), providing access to nearby communities such as Togari and Christmas Hills. Historically, Brittons Swamp was connected to the Marrawah Tramway, facilitating timber transport to the coast.
