Borumba Dam, situated near Imbil in Queensland's Mary Valley, serves as a vital water source for the Mary Valley irrigation scheme. Completed in 1963 and upgraded in 1997, this un-gated rock-fill embankment dam spans 343 meters in length and holds a full supply volume of 46,000 megalitres. The surrounding Lake Borumba offers a range of recreational activities, including fishing, boating, kayaking, and water skiing. The Day Use Area, accessible via Yabba Creek Road, provides picnic tables, shelters, and barbeque facilities, though visitors should bring their own drinking water.
