
Blanchetown, a historic township on the west bank of the Murray River, is home to the South Australian State Emergency Service (SES) Unit. Established in the 1850s and 1860s, the area boasts impressive historic buildings. The Blanchetown SES Unit comprises 21 dedicated members who provide essential services, including general rescue, flood operations, land search operations, reconnaissance, storm damage operations, road crash rescue, and marine rescue. Training sessions are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 pm. The unit is located on Egerton Street, Blanchetown.
