Barron Gorge National Park, located 18 to 27 kilometers northwest of Cairns, Queensland, showcases rugged peaks, steep gorges, and lush rainforests. The park is renowned for its stunning waterfalls, including the 250-meter Barron Falls, best viewed from the Din Din Barron Falls lookout near Kuranda. Visitors can explore a network of walking tracks, ranging from short walks to challenging full-day hikes, traversing diverse landscapes and offering opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. The park is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and is accessible via car, the Kuranda Scenic Railway, or the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Facilities include picnic tables, toilets, and wheelchair-accessible areas. The Traditional Owners, the Djabugay Aboriginal people, welcome visitors to their country and ask that you respect their special place.
