Anindilyakwa Arts Gallery, located at 1 Bougainvillea Dr, Alyangula NT 0885, is a vibrant hub of creativity on the Groote Eylandt Archipelago in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Operated by the Anindilyakwa Land Council, it supports over 100 local Indigenous artists, fostering both traditional and contemporary art forms. The gallery showcases a diverse range of artworks, including bush-dyed textiles, pandanus and ghost net weavings, ochre and acrylic paintings, and traditional carvings. Open Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, it offers visitors a unique opportunity to engage with the rich cultural heritage of the Anindilyakwa people.
