Yesterday's Images

Price on enquiry
Yesterday's Images offers a vast collection of photographic reproductions of local historical photographs, including many from the 1960s taken by Valentin Sowada. Each photograph is meticulously hand-processed by Val's daughter, Chantal, who transforms negatives into positives, processes them in black and white, bleaches, and sepia-tones them. Chantal also cuts all the mats, while her mother, Helen, writes the captions for each photograph. You can find their stall at The Rocks Markets, 80 George St, Sydney, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
