Nestled in the Dandenong Ranges, Mount Burnett Observatory is a community-run astronomical facility dedicated to promoting science and astronomy. Managed by MBO Inc. since 2011, it offers a variety of activities, including astronomy lectures, astrophotography sessions, and deep-sky viewing. The observatory also hosts outreach programs featuring talks, dome tours, and guided viewing sessions suitable for groups up to 40 people of all ages.
