Meryla Flora Reserve, established in July 2022, spans 4,035 hectares in Gundungurra Country near Moss Vale, NSW. This elevated sandstone plateau features waterfalls, weathered sandstone caves, overhangs, and deep, narrow gorges. The reserve provides habitat for many species, including bats that inhabit its sandstone caves and overhangs, platypus in its still waters, and nomadic birds such as yellow-tailed black cockatoos, wattle birds, and yellow-faced honeyeaters that feed on its heath vegetation. Managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Meryla Flora Reserve adjoins Morton National Park, forming one of the largest conservation areas in NSW.
