Nestled on Macleay Island's picturesque western foreshore, the Macleay Island Arts Complex Inc. (MIAC) is a vibrant community hub dedicated to nurturing artistic expression. The complex features two galleries, a pottery studio equipped with two kilns and four wheels, an etching press, and a painting workshop space. Members enjoy 24/7 access to these facilities, fostering a collaborative environment for artists of all ages. MIAC hosts a variety of art classes, workshops, and exhibitions, actively engaging with the Southern Moreton Bay Islands community. The gallery is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday, showcasing members' work, and during exhibitions, it operates seven days a week.
