Nestled on the edge of the UNESCO-listed Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery offers a captivating journey through Tasmania's natural beauty. This purpose-built gallery features nine exhibition rooms showcasing contemporary works by Tasmanian artists, including sculptures, paintings, and large installations. A permanent exhibition honors the renowned photographer Peter Dombrovskis. The gallery is set amidst a landscaped alpine garden adorned with glacier-polished boulders and native flora. Visitors can also explore the adjacent gift shop, offering a range of Tasmanian arts, crafts, and produce. Admission is free, and the gallery operates daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
