Located in Cowra's cultural precinct, the Cowra Regional Art Gallery opened in October 2000, aiming to foster appreciation and enjoyment of visual arts within the community. The gallery hosts a dynamic program of changing exhibitions, including in-house curated projects and significant touring exhibitions from state and national sources, featuring a diverse range of contemporary art and craft practices. Its collection includes the Calleen Collection, initiated in 1977, and the Olive Cotton Collection, comprising key works by the renowned Australian photographer. The gallery also houses significant heritage items related to the Cowra POW Camp. Visitors can explore the Cowra Sculpture Park, an extension of the gallery's collection, featuring installations from both nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. The gallery shop offers a unique range of greeting cards, art magazines, books, and handmade gifts. Admission is free, and the gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
