Andamooka Station, established in 1872, is a vast pastoral lease in outback South Australia, covering approximately 2,500 km². Located about 28 km northeast of Roxby Downs and 115 km west of Lyndhurst, it is bordered to the east by the ephemeral salt lake, Lake Torrens. The landscape predominantly features Arcoona tablelands, vegetated with saltbush and bluebush, and is currently stocked with cattle. The station is owned by BHP, which also operates the Olympic Dam mine and processing plant within its boundaries.
