Mount Napier State Park, located 20 km south of Hamilton, is home to Victoria's youngest volcano, Mount Napier, which last erupted around 30,000 years ago. The park offers a 3.7 km return walking track to the summit, passing through volcanic features, manna gum trees, and Blackwood forest. From the top, visitors enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding farmland, Grampians, Mount Rouse, Budj Bim, and, on clear days, the ocean. The park also features the Byaduk Caves, an extensive and accessible set of lava caves.
