Melbourne Polytechnic Yan Yean Farm

Located 25 kilometers north of Melbourne, Melbourne Polytechnic's Yan Yean Farm spans 200 hectares dedicated to hands-on training in cattle and deer farming, aquaculture, and the production of medicinal herbs and essential oils. The farm features modern cattle handling facilities, state-of-the-art tractors with GPS, and tillage equipment. It houses a 270-head beef cattle breeding herd, including Angus and Angus Charolais cross, and 200 crossbred ewes for prime lamb production. Additionally, the farm maintains the Growling Frog Vineyard, offering students practical experience in viticulture.
