Loy Yang Power Station Switchyard

The Loy Yang Power Station Switchyard, located at Bartons Lane, Loy Yang VIC 3844, is a critical component of Victoria's energy infrastructure. As part of the Loy Yang B Power Station, it contributes to the generation of up to 1,200 MW of baseload power, supplying approximately 20% of the state's electricity needs. The power station has been operational since 1993, consistently providing reliable and low-cost energy to the National Electricity Market. It is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited and operated by Latrobe Valley Power (Holdings) Pty Ltd.
