The husband-and-wife team, Francois and Jane Marx, have created a welcoming space where patrons can enjoy expertly brewed coffee made from Proud Mary beans and indulge in a selection of cakes and pastries from Aunty Peg’s. The menu features all-day breakfast and lunch options, emphasizing organic, locally sourced ingredients, with vegan and gluten-free choices available. The café's relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by its light, industrial-chic décor, adorned with plants and artwork, and includes both indoor and outdoor seating. A unique feature is the basketball hoop in the laneway, offering a fun activity while waiting for food or drinks. As a social enterprise, Long Street Coffee employs refugees, providing them with valuable work experience and assisting them in finding future study or employment opportunities. The café operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Parking is unavailable on Little Hoddle Street but can be found through 4/46-50 Regent Street.
