Lake Goldsmith, located in Victoria's Pyrenees region, is renowned for its bi-annual Steam & Vintage Rally, attracting enthusiasts from across Australia. The rally showcases a vast collection of restored steam engines, traction engines, steam rollers, and vintage machinery. Visitors can explore 46 individually operated engine sheds, each revealing private collections of diverse historic engines and machinery. The event features working displays, including a 90-tonne steam shovel and a steam-powered power-generating display. The next rallies are scheduled for November 1-2, 2025, and May 2-3, 2026.
