The Katamatite Silo Art, completed in July 2023 by artist Tim Bowtell, is a vibrant mural adorning the GrainCorp silos in Katamatite, Victoria. The artwork features a Wedge-tailed eagle, symbolizing the connection to the metal eagle in the Lions Park and honoring the traditional owners, the Kwat Kwat/Bangerang people. Indigenous figures are depicted along the Boosey Creek, with a scar tree running down the center, connecting the two silos. The design also includes local plants, rare wildflowers, the first passenger train engine that serviced Katamatite, and horses pulling a scoop to create irrigation channels, reflecting the region's agricultural heritage. This mural is part of the North East Silo Art Trail, aiming to attract visitors and support local businesses.
