Located in Bendigo's historic gold mining district, Bendigo Woollen Mills is Australia's largest hand knitting yarn manufacturer. Established in 1988, the mill operates 24/5, producing a vast array of yarns in numerous colors. Their products, crafted from luxurious natural fibers like Australian-grown wool, alpaca, mohair, silk, milk fiber, bamboo, and cotton, are available in large 200g balls. The factory shop welcomes visitors Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
