Barmah Lakes Camping and Picnic Ground

Nestled along the Murray River within Barmah National Park, Barmah Lakes Camping and Picnic Ground offers a serene retreat for nature enthusiasts. The campground features approximately 15 unmarked, well-spaced sites, each providing ample shade under towering river red gums. Amenities include drop toilets and access to tank water, which should be treated before consumption. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming, kayaking, and leisurely walks amidst abundant birdlife. Please note, dogs are not permitted, and campfires are allowed only in designated fire rings during non-restricted periods. Access is via unsealed roads; the final 700 meters may be rough, so exercise caution.
