Nestled within Yuraygir National Park, Sandon River campground offers a serene retreat with 29 well-marked sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans. Guests enjoy direct access to both the river and the beach, ideal for fishing, canoeing, swimming, and surfing. Amenities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities, a boat ramp, public phone, and toilets. Please bring your own drinking water, cooking water, and firewood. Note that park entry fees apply and are separate from camping fees. The campground is remote; basic supplies are available in Brooms Head village, 12.5 km away. Sandon village, located on the southern side of the Sandon River, is accessible by beach from Minnie Water or by boat. Road conditions to the campground vary; the gravel road may not be suitable for all vehicles.
