Inala Jurassic Garden, located on Bruny Island, Tasmania, showcases over 750 plant species with connections to the ancient supercontinent Gondwana. Established by Dr. Tonia Cochran, the five-acre garden features species from 50 plant families, highlighting the evolutionary history of flora from the Jurassic period. Visitors can explore the garden via a wheelchair-friendly path, with each plant labeled with its family, botanical name, common name, and origin. Adjacent to the garden, the Nature Museum displays fossils of plants that also grow in their living forms outside. Guided tours are available, offering insights into the garden's history and the connections between dinosaurs, extinct giant birds, and plant evolution. Entry fees are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 16, and $30 for a family of two adults and up to four children. The garden is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm during summer (September to April) and from 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday during winter (May to August). Visitors are encouraged to plan their visit by checking ferry timetables, parking information, and accessibility options.
