The Friends of the Melton Botanic Garden (FMBG) is a dedicated volunteer organization committed to enriching the community and environment by supporting the development and activities of the Melton Botanic Garden. Established in 2003, FMBG manages a diverse range of themed gardens, including the Dryland Eucalyptus Arboretum, Victorian Volcanic Plains, and Mediterranean Gardens. Their volunteer-run nursery, located at 21 Williams Street, Melton, offers a variety of plants for sale, with members receiving a discount. The nursery operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the second and fourth Sundays of each month. FMBG also hosts regular meetings, workshops, and guided tours, fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship.
