This steam-powered sawmill, built by Wilson Hart Limited, replaced an earlier mill from 1927. It stands as a rare example of Queensland's timber industry history, showcasing the evolution of sawmilling technology. The complex includes a large open-sided timber-framed shed, a detached office, and remnants of the former mill township. The site was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 17 September 2010, reflecting its cultural and historical significance.
