Commonwealth Hill Station, situated approximately 110 km west of the Stuart Highway in South Australia's Glendambo region, spans 513,000 hectares, making it the second-largest sheep station in Australia. The station manages a flock of 30,000 Merino sheep, with around 12,000 ewes lambing annually. Operating in one of the world's most arid climates, the homestead utilizes 24-hour solar power complemented by a backup generator. Staffed by eight dedicated individuals, Commonwealth Hill Station is renowned for its sustainable land management practices and active participation in local events such as the Coober Pedy Races and Glendambo Gymkhana.
