Cabbage Tree Creek Flora Reserve, located near Orbost in East Gippsland, is a 1,700-hectare sanctuary dedicated to preserving Victoria's only population of Cabbage Palms (Livistona australis). Discovered by botanist Baron von Mueller in 1854, this unique reserve offers a serene environment for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a short, pleasant walk along the Cabbage Palm Walking Track, where sightings of lyrebirds and other native species are common.
