Byaduk Caves, located in the Mount Napier State Park, is Australia's most extensive set of lava caves. Formed approximately 30,000 years ago, these caves feature an intricate network of underground tubes created by solidified lava flows from the nearby Mount Napier volcano. The largest cave measures 18 meters wide, 10 meters high, and extends 20 meters below the surface. Accessible by 2WD vehicles with ample parking, visitors can enjoy walking trails that interconnect with the caves, offering surface-level viewing areas.
