Established in 1992 as Australia's first Telecentre, Walcha Telecottage is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to providing essential technological services to Walcha and its surrounding areas. Their offerings include the weekly community newspaper, The Apsley Advocate, delivered free to local households; a range of high-quality full-color printing services; secretarial assistance such as desktop publishing, business documents, faxing, photocopying, binding, and laminating; internet and computer hire; and office space rental. Additionally, as an authorized Services Australia agent, they assist with Medicare, Centrelink, and Child Support services. Operating without government funding, Walcha Telecottage relies on community support to sustain these vital services.
