Mt Palmer Townsite

Mount Palmer, established in 1934 following a gold discovery, was a bustling mining town in Western Australia's Yilgarn region. At its peak, it boasted a population exceeding 500, with amenities such as three hotels, a bakery, butcher, and two boarding houses. The town's rapid growth was closely tied to the Mount Palmer Gold Mine, which operated until 1944. Today, the site remains a testament to the area's rich mining heritage, with remnants of the original hotel arch and other structures still visible, offering a glimpse into its storied past.
