Nestled along Monsildale Creek in Queensland's Somerset Region, Monsildale Homestead is a heritage-listed property established in the 1870s. The main residence, originally built between 1871 and 1877, features a timber-framed structure with a shingle roof and expansive verandahs. Over the years, the homestead has been expanded and adapted, including a significant extension in the 1910s. The property also includes a slab barn and shed, a single men's barrack, and former Aboriginal workers' quarters, reflecting its rich pastoral history. Today, the homestead operates as a deer farm, continuing its legacy in the region.
