Merah North Cotton Gin, situated in Merah North, NSW 2388, is part of Namoi Cotton's extensive network, Australia's largest cotton processing organization. Established in 1979, it was the first gin in the Gwydir Valley, marking a significant milestone in the region's cotton industry. The facility underwent a major rebuild in 1983, expanding from a 3-stand to a 4-stand gin, enhancing its processing capacity. Managed by Luke Dewson, Merah North Gin continues to support local cotton growers with efficient and reliable ginning services.
