Café Sunshine & Salamatea كافه سلامتى is a Melbourne-based social enterprise dedicated to empowering refugees, new migrants, and asylum seekers through employment and training. Founded by Chef Hamed Allahyari, who migrated from Iran in 2012, the café offers authentic Persian cuisine, including signature dishes like fesenjan, gheymeh, and saffron-dyed barberry rice. By day, it serves as a welcoming café, and by night, transforms into a Persian restaurant, fostering community integration and financial independence.
