Brown Hill Community Hall

Nestled in the heart of Brown Hill, the Brown Hill Community Hall is a versatile venue that has been serving the local community since its official opening on December 2, 1966. Managed by a dedicated committee on behalf of the City of Ballarat, the hall hosts a variety of events, including community gatherings, sports activities, and private functions. Regular users encompass groups like Parents without Partners, Taekwondo, Senior Citizens, Ballarat Rockers, ElDorado Line Dancing, and Senior Exercise Classes. The hall is also suitable for private functions such as birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, meetings, and dances. Situated on the Brown Hill Reserve, the venue offers a gazebo and children's playground, making it ideal for family events. The large main hall (18 x 18m ~ 324m²) includes a stage, heating and cooling (fans and reverse-cycle air-conditioning), and tables and chairs. The small meeting room 1 (5 x 11 ~ 55m²) includes heating and cooling (reverse-cycle air-conditioning), and opens onto meeting room 2 via concertina doors and also opens onto the commercial kitchen. The medium-sized meeting room 2 (15 x 6m ~ 90m²) includes heating and cooling (reverse-cycle air-conditioning), and opens onto meeting room 1 via concertina doors and also opens onto the commercial kitchen. The kitchen is food-safety accredited and includes a pie warmer, microwave, urn, stove/oven, fridge, crockery, and cutlery. Men's and women's toilet blocks are located inside the hall along with one disabled toilet. Ample off-street parking is available.
