Weranga is a rural locality in Queensland's Western Downs Region, Australia, covering approximately 221.7 square kilometers. As of the 2021 census, it has a population of 208 residents. The area is primarily agricultural, with farming activities such as crop cultivation and livestock raising being central to its economy. The Glenmorgan railway line traverses the locality from the south-east (Kumbarilla) to the south-west (Goranba), and Weranga is served by Weranga railway station on Weranga North Road. The name 'Weranga' is believed to be an Aboriginal word meaning a large gathering of Aboriginal Australians.
