Established in 2001 by the Traditional Owners of the Thamarrurr region, Thamarrurr Rangers is a dedicated Indigenous land and sea management team based in Wadeye, Northern Territory. Operating across 18,000 square kilometers of land and 240 kilometers of coastline, the rangers engage in a variety of activities, including fire management, weed and feral animal control, cultural preservation, and marine monitoring. They collaborate closely with Traditional Owners and community members to protect and manage natural and cultural resources, ensuring the sustainability of their environment for future generations.
