Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre, located approximately 18 km from Armidale's CBD, offers curriculum-based environmental education and sustainability programs for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Situated on the traditional lands of the Anaiwan people, the centre is nestled among woodlands along the Gara River, adjacent to the Swallowfield Wildlife Refuge. This setting provides a rich diversity of natural and cultural sites, including remnant eucalypt woodlands and the historic "Old English Garden" on Thalgarrah Station.
