SPANNER Man Sculpture Garden

Nestled in Barraport, Victoria, the Spanner Man Sculpture Garden showcases the late John Piccoli's artistic prowess. Spanning 2 hectares of meticulously maintained lawns and gardens, the site features approximately fifty sculptures crafted from reclaimed farm spanners sourced across Victoria. These life-sized creations, including horses, bulls, fish, mermaids, and men, exhibit a remarkable lifelike quality despite their unconventional materials. The garden also houses enclosures with a variety of brightly colored and rare bird species, reflecting Piccoli's passion for avian life. Guided tours are available at 10:30 am and 2 pm from Tuesday to Sunday, with an entry fee of $15 for adults and $5 for children. Advance bookings are recommended for large groups or bus tours.
